I am honoured to be part of the FORVAL SCHOLARSHIP Programme which is to foster young, brilliant musicians in Japan.
In order to further this Programme I have offered my ''Rainville'' Stradivari-which has been with me for a long time-to the Programme to foster a young musician. It was not an easy decision to make but the noble intention of the FORVAL CORPORATION prompted me to go along with this and I decided to join the Programme. It was not easy for me to part with such a marvellous violin, which I have used during the time of the Amadeus Quartet and later. I wish this Programme and FORVAL CORPORATION great success in their endeavour to foster excellent young musicians, fit enough for the international stage, to promote great music and contribute to World Peace.
